Communications Coordinator

Billings, MT

ECI specializes in engineering services to electric utilities (substation, protection, transmission) alternative energy systems, communication, oil/gas, mining and heavy industry.  As a member of the marketing team, the successful candidate will an integral part of all internal and external communication occasionally providing writing support to other groups as needed.

This position will create original content for use in ECI’s external communications. This may include the development of written press releases, news posts for web and social media publication, written promotional announcements, project summaries and accolades. Content would be derived using multiple sources including direct interviews with staff, review of written technical material, web research, and independent deduction to craft well-polished material for public consumption. The candidate would develop a content release schedule for web/social media and work toward the development of all necessary content within that schedule.

Minimum Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in communications, English, Marketing, Public Relations or Business or 2 or more years direct experience in the same or similar industry;  exceptional writing skills with the ability to generate content material for internal and external communications; demonstrate strong interpersonal skills; must work effectively and cooperatively within a team environment with the ability to work independently.  A command of the standard MS Office suite is required. Adobe Suite experience including Acrobat Pro, InDesign, InCopy, Photoshop and others, a plus.  The successful applicant may be subject to client mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving will be required. Successful applicant is subject to ECI’s auto insurance carrier requirements.
