This position will encompass a variety of substation design and drafting tasks. Site layouts, grading plans, general arrangements and sections, above and below-grade plans and detailed drawings and bills of materials, along with electrical schematics and wiring diagrams will be prepared by the designer for self-drafting or drafting by others.
Minimum Requirements: College degree in an acceptable curriculum or two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design; 2+ years of electric substation design experience, including schematics, wiring diagrams, physical layout and facility design required. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation is required. Must have proven effective verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate must be results oriented and capable of completing design assignments with minimal direction and must be effective in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to interface with team members and clients. The successful applicant may be subject to client mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving will be required. Successful applicant is subject to ECI’s auto insurance carrier requirements. Successful applicant must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
