This is a medium level designer position utilizing computer-aided drafting and other compatible software tools to support engineering and drafting projects. The goal of this position is to continue development of professional work knowledge and experience through performing of a variety of engineering designer functions requiring demonstration of technical ability, intuition and insight in the preparation of design documents.

Minimum Requirements: College degree in an acceptable curriculum or two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design, or a minimum of two years concentrated on the job experience in computer-sided drafting/design field.  An average of 15 years of concentrated computer-aided drafting and designer experience. Skill level prerequisite required will be measured on the basis of ability to perform 90% of engineering duties in the drafter area(s) of primary technical competence.  Proven effective verbal and written communication skills; proven excellent level of interpersonal skills; ability to work individually and on a team. Must be detail oriented and possess a high level of organizational skills. Proven ability to work with confidential information. Proven ability to exercise independent judgment.  The successful applicant may be subject to client mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving will be required.
