The successful candidate will work with designers and engineers within the transmission line engineering group to update and develop drawing sets, diagrams, and other CADD deliverables. Both AutoCAD and MicroStation software experience is needed, as is being knowledgeable in drafting methods, procedures and techniques, including the use of XREF files, blocks, borders, templates, pallets, and so forth. All CADD work will be based on the instructions and markups provided by ECI engineers and designers to develop all components of typical drawing sets, including loading drawings, foundation drawings, structure detail drawings, assembly drawings, plan and profile drawings, etc.. Ability to learn, understand, and utilize a variety of client CADD standards and be detailed and organized in all work performed is a must. No individual design work is required. No supervisory or management duties are required.
Minimum Requirements: College degree in an acceptable curriculum or two-year technical certificate in CADD, or a minimum of two years on the job experience in a CADD position. Successful candidate must have the following: demonstrated ability to regularly and consistently produce project work with accuracy and within budget and time allocation; knowledge of and skilled in the operation of AutoCAD and MicroStation; capability of working from sketches and models from verbal directions; ability to independently resolve most problems encountered in the preparation of plans including those of intent, consistency and approach.
