The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the successful implementation and completion of engineering projects ranging from 4160 V through 765 KV, and the development of engineering staff.
Project responsibilities include management of client communications and expectations, monitoring project status regarding schedule and budget, making decisions and providing direction regarding conceptual designs and project details based on engineering experience and expert judgment, performing quality audits and quality control reviews, acting as the Engineer of Record, and otherwise developing creative and efficient design solutions to promote the successful completion of power delivery projects.
Staff responsibilities include monitoring the performance and growth of technical design staff, developing and presenting trainings to improve team knowledge, motivation and productivity, mentoring both management and technical design staff, and otherwise working to improve the capabilities and performance of the individuals within each engineering team.
Additional responsibilities include the execution and administration of large projects, development of proposal documents and presentations, client and program management, marketing ECI services to potential and previous clients, recruitment of future ECI employees, addressing employee concerns to improve morale, working with other senior ECI staff in the development of engineering standards, procedures and business tools, and the execution of ECI’s work development plans and goals under the direction of the office General Manager.
Minimum Requirements: BSEE and/or MSEE degree, 20 years of substation engineering design experience preferred in the power delivery industry, professional engineering registration and the ability to obtain registration in additional states, and experience in team leadership positions.
