ECI was responsible for protection settings development and integration of Station 263, a greenfield IEC-61850 34 kV substation that serves a commercial greenhouse. Due to the large load this customer added to the system, ECI was also tasked with upgrading the electromechanical relaying on (2) lines at the remote end to microprocessor-based relays that could support load encroachment.

The integration platform consisted of CIMPLICITY for the Station HMI, an SEL-3530 RTAC for the RTU and Ruggedcom switches for the station network.
ECI engineers were responsible for leading all commissioning efforts at Station 263 and the remote end as well as coordinating outages with the customer and supporting testing of customer owned equipment.
