Electrical Consultants Inc. (formerly Relay Application Innovation, Inc.) provided professional guidance, engineering, and field testing during the selection, design, and implementation of the new Survalent SCADA Master System at the Umatilla Electric Cooperative. ECI worked with the client throughout the process, from the selection of the SCADA provider, to the final implementation of the system. This SCADA Master System encompassed 30+ substations ranging from new constructions, to existing stations with existing SCADA equipment, to older substations with no SCADA infrastructure. New standardized DNP map templates were developed by ECI to expedite the design and programming of SEL RTAC Data Concentrators. New lab testing tools and techniques were also developed to allow for thorough bench testing, as some stations could not take outages for complete field testing.
