Welcoming Larry Myers to the Team

September 23, 2020

Meet Larry Myers, ECI’s new Vice President – Eastern Region.

As a long-time industry professional, Larry has worked in the power field since college, initially earning a degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology. “I was recruited right out of college by the largest engineering and construction company in the world to work in their power division and quickly realized that some of the biggest challenges we’ll face as a nation are related to energy and utilities,” Larry says. Later on, Larry earned his certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP). With an extensive career in the EPC power field, Larry has led projects in renewable energy, pulp, paper, and conventional power. Regardless of the energy project, Larry is always enthusiastic about the next opportunity: “Ensuring an efficient sustainable and reliable supply of energy is an exciting and important challenge,” he says.

Though Larry is new to the ECI team, ECI’s reputation for quality engineering work is well-known. “ECI has a very strong reputation in the industry of being quality focused, innovative and customer centric. It is widely known as a great company to work with because it strives to create win-win situations for both clients and employees,” says Larry. Larry’s new role is part of ECI’s ongoing efforts to develop new utility relationships and accelerate our name recognition on the East Coast.

ECI began expanding our presence to the East in 2013 by opening our Cranford, New Jersey office. With 9 full-time employees, we’re working hard to establish a lasting presence on the Eastern Seaboard. Larry’s development plan includes creating sustainable and meaningful utility relationships: “ECI’s Eastern development will take close coordination with our team, resulting in the acceleration and expansion of name recognition for ECI as the ‘go to’ power engineering source nationally,” Larry says. He’s also focused on passing on his lengthy industry experience in a meaningful way to other ECI employees: “I am also very excited to take on a mentorship role to help shape future leaders by sharing my knowledge and experience,” says Larry. “When you decide to mentor someone, you really have no way of knowing how far they’ll go. Whether you shape the next great leader of our time or help someone achieve their dreams, mentoring makes a difference – and that’s a passion of mine.”

Outside of work, you can find Larry spending time with his wife, their four children, and their families. On nice days, Larry likes to go out kayaking, fishing, and golfing.

Welcome to ECI, Larry! We’re excited to usher in a new era of ECI expansion.
