Responsibilities will include but are not limited to performing computer aided drafting and design work for electrical design, instrumentation engineering, and process controls projects; analyzing existing systems, designing and making recommendations for improvements; developing calculations, developing construction drawings, creating material/equipment specifications for procurement and creating construction specifications.  Occasional travel/driving is required. Ability to pass a background check and safety training in order to gain access to industrial facilities is required.  All work will be performed under the direction of a project engineer and project manager.  Significant training and direction is expected throughout the first several months of employment, with moderate amounts of training and mentoring thereafter.

Minimum Requirements: 5+ years’ of industrial facility or electric substation design experience, including physical layout, schematics, wiring diagrams, and facility design. Must have proven effective verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate must be results oriented and driven to complete design assignments with minimal direction.  The successful candidate must also be effective in a team environment, possessing strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to effectively interface with team members and clients. This position requires a strong work ethic with attention to detail, quality, schedule and budget. Successful applicant is subject to ECI’s auto insurance carrier requirements.
