Transmission Project Engineer – Salt Lake City

Responsibilities include organization, direction and assistance to multiple design teams in the preparation of technical criteria, scoping and specification documents, finite element transmission line models based primarily in PLS-CADD, detail drawings to support contractor and fabricator activities, and detailed construction packages. Additional responsibilities include developing, maintaining and monitoring project budgets, schedules, and reporting; training and mentoring less experienced design team members; resource management; cost estimating and proposal development; communication and coordination with clients; quality control review of client deliverables; field investigation work; and engineering support for construction. Occasional travel is required.

Minimum Requirements: BSCE or BSEE degree or equivalent industry experience; 6+ years of transmission design and project engineering/management experience in the utility engineering industry; PE licensure or the ability to obtain it; a solid working knowledge of the PLS-CADD suite of design software tools and other common industry design tools. Experience in lattice tower design and AutoCAD and Bentley products is a plus. Excellent communication, organizational and writing skills are a must, as well as proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe.
