ECI/EPCS provided turnkey services for a substation, BESS yard, and interconnecting transmission line design at Enel’s Bluejay Solar Project, a 210 MW solar development in Grimes County, Texas. ECI/EPCS’ scope of work included the design/build of a 138-34.5 kV substation, BESS interconnect of 59 MWdc, and approximately 2.5 miles of 138 kV transmission gen-tie line with steel monopoles. ECI/EPCS was responsible for all design and construction services for the 50.5 MW/75.5 MWh BESS yard. The scope included auxiliary power system design, detailed plans and specifications, construction services, commissioning and testing. The Bluejay project is one of a suite of projects that ECI/EPCS is completing for Enel including Rockhaven and Roseland.
