Project Highlights

  • Design of 230-34.5 kV collector substation for large-scale solar farm.
  • Provided turnkey/EPC project execution through our subsidiary, EPC Services.
  • Because of our performance on this project, ECI was awarded 2 additional substation projects.

ECI provided the design of the new Colonial Trail 230/34.5 kV collection substation and all applicable studies including grounding, lightning protection, load flow, reactive study, harmonics study, and fault study among others. Colonial Trail is a 142 MW solar farm in Virginia. This full EPC project was constructed and commissioned by ECI’s construction subsidiary, EPC Services Company. Based on our performance on Colonial Trail, EPCS/ECI was awarded two additional solar substation projects (Spring Grove Solar & Bedford Solar).
