ECI’s BESS work scope connects to a 200 MW solar field and includes 50 MW of battery storage.

The BESS consists of Sabre containers with Samsung lithium ion batteries; inverters are Power Electronics 3.55 MVA. ECI was responsible for the BESS yard layout, electrical studies, complete civil, electrical and P&C engineering as well as relay settings.

ECI also provided all electrical, civil and structural engineering design services to NextEra’s 345-34.5 kV Dodge Flat Collection Substation. The substation involved one 345 kV circuit breaker, three 345 kV arresters, twenty four 34.5 kV hook switches, and three circuit breakers.
