ECI/EPCS was responsible for the design, procurement and construction of the new Spring Grove 230/34.5 kV collection substation. Spring Grove is a large-scale solar farm in eastern Virginia. Spring Grove contracted ECI to design a new distribution station with two feeders. ECI designed the substation and conducted all applicable studies, which included: grounding, lightning protection, load flow, reactive study, harmonics study, fault study etc. This full EPC project was constructed and commissioned by ECI’s construction subsidiary, EPC Services Company.
