The Montague I Wind Project is located south of Arlington in Gilliam County, Oregon, east of Highway 19, and adjacent to Avangrid’s operating Pebble Springs and Leaning Juniper II Projects. Montague I Wind Project is a 200 MW wind farm consisting of 56 wind turbines; a 34.5 kV underground electric power collection system; and an approximately 11-mile long, 230 kV gen-tie line connection to BPA’s Slatts Substation. As Owner’s Engineer, ECI reviewed the substation, transmission line, and collection submittals from Mott MacDonald and provided commissioning assistance at the substation prior to energization. In addition to providing design and study review services to Avangrid throughout the design process, ECI also provided on-site engineering coordination and support during the commissioning process to facilitate and expedited commissioning schedule.
